Working with dedicated smallholder farmers in the Eastern Highlands, the Lahamenegu Mill carefully dries whole coffee cherries on raised beds, allowing the fruit's natural sugars to concentrate as the coffee slowly develops remarkable sweetness and layered fruit character.

In the Roastery
Bright Passage stood apart from our very first cupping. Its naturally processed fruit character offered a playful expression unlike the Papua New Guinea coffees we typically encounter, and we knew our role was simply to reveal what exceptional farming and careful processing had already made possible.
Through multiple rounds of roasting and tasting, we refined a profile that deepens sweetness while preserving the coffee's lively fruit. The result reminds us of rich chocolate enjoyed alongside a spread of summer fruit on a breezy afternoon...each making the other shine a little brighter.
In the Cup
Rich chocolate welcomes the first sip before giving way to layers of cherry, strawberry, Concord grape, and ripe banana. Bright citrus lifts the cup with refreshing clarity, while maple syrup sweetness lingers in a smooth, satisfying finish.
