In Collaboration with The Whiskey BlenderyAged in an 18-Year Kentucky Bourbon Barrel, Raspberry River is another high-scoring natural coffee, and we didn’t hold back anything on this project. This barrel, curated by The Whiskey Blendery, captures the full expression of rich craft bourbon, fruit-forward complexity and mature barrel influence. From the first sip, you’re met with sweet chocolate, vibrant raspberry, warm spice and bourbon depth, that come together in a warming, smooth and expressive cup.

 

This project begins with a Natural Anaerobic lot from Beneficio San Diego, one of Costa Rica’s most innovative mills. The coffee’s high fruit sugars and spice-driven character make it an ideal candidate for long, slow barrel aging. Inside the 18-year barrel, the coffee evolves as its natural flavors integrate with notes of oak, honey, and soft cinnamon from the cask.

 

As it cools, Raspberry River opens up with layered sweetness and a lasting warmth that highlights the precision of both the fermentation and our roasting approach. It is bold, bright, and deeply satisfying, honoring every careful step from harvest to barrel to cup.
